Warranty Tips
What should be avoided in a builder/warranty
- Disclaimers in warranty
- One that states the warranty is void if the pool is drained. Draining a pool is necessary for liner replacements (vinyl) and crack repairs (concrete/fiberglass) and occasional cleaning of chemical build up
- Any builder that says your pool does not need a bottom drain/main drain:
- Main drain circulation is vital to water clarity and bottom circulation
- A robotic cleaner is not a substitute for bottom circulation
- A builder who suggests you do not need a bottom drain is finding a“loophole” in local building codes, and is trying to avoid compliance with the new VGB Act.
- No warranty for decking immediately adjacent to pool sinking or heaving
- Builder that relies on soil content to support your pool deck and pool walls
