How Do I Clean My Filters?
Filters should be cleaned at least every 4 weeks as noted below:
STEP #1: Add full strength SpaGuard Filter Cleaner and Degreaser uniformly
onto elements or soak elements in a solution diluted 1 part SpaGuard Cleaner
and Degreaser to 3 parts water. Light brushing may be required in areas of
heavy grease accumulation. Rinse thoroughly.
STEP #2: Using rubber gloves, soak elements in a diluted acid solution to
remove scale build-up. (To make acid solution, use 1 lb. pH decreaser diluted
at the rate of one bottle per 5 gals of water or muriatic acid diluted 1 qt.
per 5 gals water). Thoroughly flush acid solution from filter elements with
a garden hose. If possible, let elements dry, and reassemble filters.
